Dear Parents and Friends,

The Jolly Tradition starts each year on Thanksgiving Day with the arrival of Jolly or one of his elf friends. He or she appears somewhere around the home, but finding him or her may take some effort, because elves love to hide. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, Jolly (or one of his friends) hides in a different place each day, all the while helping to remind children to do their very best to be good and kind. Jolly (and his elf friends) know how hard it is to be good all of the time, so they never judge if a child makes a mistake (we all do, after all). Mostly Jolly and his elf friends hang from lamps and window curtains and hide in the most improbable places.  The elves love to watch children play and share, and they love listening to whatever a child wants to talk about.

Please remember, though, that children must never touch Jolly or any of his elf friends. Elves are magic after all, and if they are touched, they lose their magic.

Upon the arrival of Christmas Eve, Jolly or one of his elf friends hides in the Christmas tree. That night, after everyone has gone to bed, Jolly and all of his elf friends return to the North Pole and tell Santa what a wonderful job all the children have done and, of course, help him load the sleigh with gifts for all the good girls and boys.

Although children are sad to see their elf friend leave each year, they know that he or she will return again next year to create even more fun holiday memories and grow the Jolly Tradition.

Best Wishes,

The Jolly Team
